Hard 90 Baseball and COVID 19

Hello Hard 90 Baseball Community,

With recent activities surrounding the recently classified COVID 19 Pandemic, Hard 90 Baseball has convened a task force that will be meeting daily with the objective of:

  1. Safety of all players, coaches and families in the Hard 90 community

  2. Continuity and progress for all of our players toward their goals and dreams

  3. Flexibility to make progress through a variety of options

To accomplish these objectives, Hard 90 Baseball will be proceeding as follows:

General Training

  1. Training players and coaches on safety precautions to take during the COVID 19 Pandemic

  2. Posting COVID 19 awareness signs throughout The Clubhouse

  3. Increasing equipment sanitization from daily to after every class

  4. Training with all doors open in the facility to encourage fresh airflow

  5. Encouraging players to wear batting gloves during training

  6. Players will be encouraged to stay home if anyone in the family is ill (players with obsessive coughing or sneezing will be sent home.)

Teams

  1. Game play – Hard 90 Baseball will suspend game play until 3/22 to further evaluate circumstances and minimize contact with other organizations not adhering to COVID 19 guidelines (update to be provided on 3/20)

  2. Travel – Hard 90 is suspending travel for teams through 3/22 and will be reevaluating and providing an update on 3/20.

  3. Outdoor practices – Hard 90 will hold outdoor practices as scheduled

  4. Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.

  5. Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice

  6. Hand sanitizer will be in the dugouts

  7. Remote training practice plans will be offered for those choosing not attend

  8. Skills – Hard 90 will hold skills as scheduled.

  9. Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.

  10. Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice

  11. Players will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands

  12. Remote training plans will be offered for players that choose not to attend skills

  13. Coaches will wipe down general use equipment after each training session

  14. Hard 90 Trio. Hard 90 will hold Trio as scheduled.

  15. Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.

  16. Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice

  17. Players will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands

  18. Remote training plans will be offered for players that choose not to attend skills

  19. Coaches will wipe down general use equipment after each training session

  20. Power Hitting and Power Pitching. Hard 90 will hold Power Programs as scheduled.

  21. Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.

  22. Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice

  23. Players will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands

  24. Remote training plans will be offered for players that choose not to attend skills

  25. Coaches will wipe down general use equipment after each training session

  26. Lil 90s. Hard 90 will hold Lil 90s as scheduled.

  27. Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.

  28. Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice

  29. Players will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands

  30. Coaches will wipe down general use equipment after each training session

  31. High School Hitting. Hard 90 will hold high school hitting as scheduled.

  32. Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.

  33. Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice

  34. Players will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands

  35. Remote training plans will be offered for players that choose not to attend skills

  36. Coaches will wipe down general use equipment after each training session.

  37. High School Combine. Hard 90 will restart the combine for players that would like to stay game ready during the high school break. This program will include hitting, throwing and strength – including Live At bats.

  38. Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.

  39. Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice

  40. Players will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands

  41. Remote training plans will be offered for players that choose not to attend skills

  42. Coaches will wipe down general use equipment after each training sessions.

  43. USA Baseball NTIS Tryouts – Hard 90 will postpone USA Baseball assessments through April 15.

As mentioned above, the Hard 90 Baseball task force will be monitoring the COVID 19 Pandemic closely, meeting daily and providing an update at least 1x per week.
