Hard 90 Alumni Selected to 2025 Area Code Games Upperclass Roster
Two Hard 90 Baseball alumni, Owen Lesser and Jordan Walczykowski, have been selected to compete in one of the most prestigious events in amateur baseball — the Area Code Games Upperclass Division. Their achievement is a testament not only to their individual talent and work ethic, but also to the developmental journey they have embraced since their early days at Hard 90.
A Tradition of Showcasing the Best
The Area Code Games, first held in 1987, bring together the nation’s top high school baseball players to compete in front of hundreds of MLB scouts and college recruiters. Representing regional teams affiliated with Major League Baseball organizations, these athletes face the best competition in the country in a highly scouted, pressure-filled environment. The games have a long history of producing future MLB stars — from Derek Jeter to Mookie Betts — making an invitation to the Area Codes one of the most coveted honors for a high school baseball player.
Owen Lesser – Dominant Arm, Big Future
Owen Lesser, one of the premier pitching prospects in the Class of 2026, has built a reputation for overpowering hitters with his electric fastball and advanced secondary pitches. His mound presence, command, and competitiveness set him apart, making him a top target for both college programs and professional scouts. At the Area Codes, Owen will have the opportunity to match up against the best bats in the nation, a challenge he has worked toward for years.
Jordan Walczykowski – Five-Tool Outfielder
Jordan Walczykowski is recognized as one of the top outfielders in the country. A true five-tool player, Jordan brings elite speed, range, and arm strength in center field, along with a balanced offensive game that combines high contact skills with emerging power. His baseball IQ and leadership qualities make him an asset to any roster. Competing in the Area Codes will give him a national platform to showcase his game against elite arms from across the U.S.
What It Means to Be Selected
For Owen and Jordan, being chosen for the Area Code Games is more than just an individual accolade — it’s the culmination of years of dedication, training, and competing at the highest levels. It’s also an opportunity to represent Northern California and the Hard 90 family on a national stage, where every at-bat and pitch is an audition for the next level.
We couldn’t be prouder of these two Hard 90 alumni. Their selection speaks to their relentless commitment, the support of their families, and the competitive environment they’ve thrived in at Hard 90. We look forward to watching Owen and Jordan shine in the Upperclass Games and continue their journeys toward the highest levels of the sport.
Good luck, Owen and Jordan — all of Hard 90 will be cheering you on!
