H90 Alumni In MLB Draft


Hard 90 Baseball has a strong tradition of alumni featured in the MLB draft. In the last two years, Hard 90 featured two 1st round picks in Nick Madrigal and Hunter Greene.

The 2019 MLB draft was another great year for Hard 90 Alumni.

In the 6th round of the MLB Draft, the Toronto Blue Jays selected Cameron Eden with the 177th overall pick. Cameron is an alum of the Hard 90 Phenom, Yuba City High School and plays at Cal. Cameron earned an All-Pac-12 honorable mention as a junior, hitting .370 with eight home runs and 20 steals.

In the 12th round of the MLB Draft, the Tampa Bay Rays selected Nick Sogard with the 368th overall pick. Nick is an alum of the Hard 90 Phenom, Jesuit High School and plays at LMU. Nick was the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year. This year he batted .310 with 39 runs scored, 71 hits and was selected First Team All-WCC.

In the 27th round of the MLB Draft, the San Diego Padres selected Tyler Malone with the 803rd pick. Tyler is an alum of the Hard 90 Phenom, Woodcreek High School and currently plays for Oregon State. Tyler played right field this year and is a career .247 hitter at OSU and played a huge role in the 2018 College World Series Championship Team.

In the 29th round of the MLB Draft, the Minnesota Twins selected Alex Isola with the 869th overall pick. Alex is an alum of the Hard 90 Pastime, Jesuit High School and plays at TCU. Alex was the starting catcher at TCU this year, hitting .267 with five home runs.
