Hard 90 Baseball - COVID 19 Update

Our passion is baseball and helping our players achieve their dreams. We focus on that around the clock.
To that end, our COVID 19 task force met today. Here is the latest:
Update March 16, 2020
Hello Hard 90 Baseball Community,
As you can appreciate the ramifications of COVID 19 are unprecedented and fluid. Our team is monitoring the events carefully and doing all that we can to achieve the following objectives:
Safety of all players, coaches and families in the Hard 90 community
Continuity and progress for all of our players toward their goals and dreams
Flexibility to make progress through a variety of options
To accomplish these objectives, Hard 90 Baseball will be proceeding as follows:
General Training
Training players and coaches on safety precautions to take during the COVID 19 Pandemic
Posting COVID 19 awareness signs throughout The Clubhouse
Increasing equipment sanitization from daily to after every class
Training with all doors open in the facility to encourage fresh airflow
Encouraging players to wear batting gloves during training
Players will be encouraged to stay home if anyone in the family is ill (players with obsessive coughing or sneezing will be sent home.)
Eliminating all spectating from Hard 90 events during this time (to maximize social distancing)
Eliminating all walk ins (members must phone the Clubhouse ahead of time to make sure there is space
Teams
Game play – Hard 90 Baseball will suspend game play until 3/29 to further evaluate circumstances and minimize contact with other organizations not adhering to COVID 19 guidelines (update to be provided on 3/27)
Travel – Hard 90 is suspending travel for teams through 3/29 and will be reevaluating and providing an update on 3/22.
Outdoor practices – Hard 90 will eliminate outdoor practices through 3/29 and add an additional workout at the facility (details forthcoming)
Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.
Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice
Hand sanitizer will be in the dugouts
Players will be encouraged to keep an arms length from each other to follow social distancing guidelines
Remote training practice plans will be offered for those choosing not attend
Skills – Hard 90 will hold skills as scheduled.
Physical contact (handshakes, high fives, etc.) will be eliminated between players, coaches, etc.
Players will be encouraged to wear batting gloves throughout the entire practice
Players will be encouraged to frequently wash their hands
Players will be encouraged to keep an arms length from each other to follow social distancing guidelines
Remote training plans will be offered for players that choose not to attend skills
Coaches will wipe down general use equipment after each training session
Hard 90 is rearranging classes starting on March 18 to minimize the number of people in the facility during skills.
Hard 90 Trio. Trio times are being moved starting March 18 to Saturday (1PM to 4PM), Sunday (2PM – 5PM) and Tuesday (5PM – 8PM)

Power Hitting and Power Pitching. Hard 90 will hold Power Programs as scheduled.

Lil 90s. Hard 90 will hold Lil 90s as scheduled.

High School Hitting. Hard 90 will hold high school hitting as scheduled.

Players are now required to register for class to insure appropriate reasonable class sizes in light of current conditions
We open at 9:00AM we encourage high school players to call ahead and get their hitting in during the daytime to minimize amount of players in the facility.

High School Combine. Hard 90 will restart the combine for players that would like to stay game ready during the high school break. This program will include hitting, throwing and strength – including Live At bats. Combine will be during the day to minimize people in the facility at any given time.

USA Baseball NTIS Tryouts – Hard 90 will postpone USA Baseball assessments through April 15.
As mentioned above, the Hard 90 Baseball task force will be monitoring the COVID 19 Pandemic closely, meeting daily and providing an update at least 1x per week.
