Michael Benton

Coach Benton played High School ball in the Sacramento area at Franklin High School in Elk Grove as a catcher before taking his talents to the southern beaches at UC San Diego. He played there all 4 years of college, in which his team was 3-time CCAA champs and went to the DII CWS in both 2009 and 2010, finishing as National Runner-ups in the latter.

 

After completing college he had the opportunity to travel to Europe to continuing playing baseball in the Belgium National League. Upon returning home Benton coached the Franklin High School JV team for 2 years before becoming a coach at Hard 90.

 

Benotn spent about 18 months as a coach with Hard 90 in 2016 - 2017 and rejoined the coaching staff as of January 2020.
